Hi, I'm Joe.
I'm a systems architect with years spent building software where details matter and shortcuts cause problems later. I started Zylio to use that experience more directly, working with business owners to build websites and tools that are useful, well made, and easy to keep improving.
I love this work. Learning how a business operates, noticing what could work better, and turning that into something people enjoy using is what gets me excited.
You work with me from the first message through launch. There is no sales handoff and no separate team trying to interpret what you meant.

How much does this cost?
Every project is quoted on its scope and the effort it takes. You work with me directly rather than an agency, so you aren't paying for layers that never touch your project. After it launches, I host and look after every site I build, which continues as a monthly plan. You get that number with your quote, before anything starts. There is no deposit. You approve the plan and price before I build, and payment is due when the finished project matches the plan and is ready to launch. The price does not change without your agreement.
Do I own my website?
Yes. You own your domain, your content, and the finished website. If you ever decide to leave, I hand over a deployable copy of the site and transfer control of the domain. Care plans are month-to-month, so there is no long contract keeping you here.
What do you need from me?
I need time to learn about the business and access to whatever already exists, such as your current site, service details, photos, and reviews. You do not need to arrive with polished website copy. I can help shape what you have and point out what is missing.
Do I need to know exactly what I want?
No. A rough explanation of the business and what you want to improve is enough. I ask questions, research the business and its competitors, and help work out what is worth building before we agree on a plan.
What if I want to change something partway through?
That happens often. New ideas get written down and talked through, and if something changes the price or the timeline, you agree to it first.
Do you only build websites?
No. Websites are the most common project, but I also build custom tools for work such as scheduling, quoting, and tracking. We start with what the business needs, then decide whether the right answer is a website, a tool, or a combination of both.
Do you only work with local businesses?
No. I'm based in Lockport, Illinois, and work with clients anywhere in the United States. Close to home, we can sit down in person. Farther out, the process works through video meetings and email.
What happens after my site goes live?
I host the site and keep it secure and up to date. That's part of every project I build and continues as a monthly plan after launch. If you'd also like me handling small changes as they come up, a higher plan includes my time for that. Everything is month-to-month, so there is no long contract to sign.
